Honourable Health Minister, Telangana, SRI. EATALA RAJENDER had inaugurated the expanded Ear to Hear centre of excellence. The Unit consist total of 5 sound treated rooms with facility for Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) rooms (2 No), Brainstem Evoked Potentials (BSERA) (1 Number), Behavioural Observation Audiometry (BOA) / Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) (1 Number), Office room (1 Number). This facility will enable comprehensive hearing testing that will help to plan further actions in the management of hearing impaired. During the inaugural function, Dr. Shravan Kumar, Superintendent, Gandhi Hospital, Dr. Shoban Babu, HOD. ENT, Dr. Mahalakshmi, HOD, Gynaedcology, Dr. K. Siva Ram Prasad, HOD, Pediatrics and all the Professors of Gandhi Medical College were present. Other NGOs such as United Care Development Services (UC), Seva Bharthi was also present to witness the inauguration.
During the function MVF handed over through Honourable Minister a pair of Digital hearing aid to a 7 months old child born with hearing impairment and motivated to attend regular speech therapy. The team has already assigned a therapist and booked appointment for the intervention program.
Hon’ble Minister released Telugu and English handouts on Development of Speech Language and Auditory behavior development. These handouts will be given as a part of counseling and public awareness of the parents of newborns to follow the development. They will advised to meet Ear to Hear professionals for any help.

We are supported by Well-wishers and Donors. The Superintendent of e Gandhi Hospital was kind enough allot the space of around 45 sp. ft., for Ear to Hear Unit. Gandhi Medical College Global Alliance has provided the sound treatment and OAE/AABR Equipment. UC is our mentor and guide for the program implementation.
